Kelly received her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University Summa Cum Laude and then completed her dietetic internship and received her Master's degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Delaware. At UD, she also served as a teaching assistant for both an introductory level nutrition class and senior-year lab course. Kelly has media experience interning with the “Today Show” dietitian Joy Bauer, as well as Dr. Melina Jampolis, and has appeared on Fox 29’s “Good Day Philadelphia.”
Regarding everyday work, Kelly counsels clients in her private practice, Wayne Nutrition LLC, which she opened in September of 2015. There, she counsels clients one-on-one regarding fat loss, food allergies, female nutrition (from PCOS to pregnancy and lactation, to peri-and post-menopausal nutrition), pediatric nutrition, various disease states, sports nutrition, vegetarian diets, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and for those just interested in eating the optimal foods for their body. Kelly is very knowledgeable when it comes to women in mid-life going through "the change" where everything you used to do doesn't seem to work anymore. At Wayne Nutrition, Kelly strives to be more than just a nutritionist. She looks at and recommends relevant labs, medications, supplements, exercise routines, and medical tests that may be useful for the client to have knowledge of for their body. Kelly is constantly keeping up to date with the latest research in the medical field whether it is related to nutrition, sleep, mental health, cardiac health, bone health, diabetes research, auto-immune disorders, and general physical health.
She also writes a blog called “Kelly’s Pantry (http://kellyspantry.blogspot.com/ ) which updates readers about the latest nutrition research, healthy food choices, recipes, and other topics related to nutrition and fitness.
Nutrition aside, Kelly enjoys working out, especially running, spinning, yoga, and weightlifting. She has a wonderful husband, as well as a daughter who is 6 years old, a son who is 4 years old, and a daughter who is 2 years old. That being said, Kelly can definitely relate to women who are trying to get pregnant, currently pregnant, post-partum, or just parents that have kids and a crazy hectic life!
